HALLOWEEN HAPPINESS FILE FOLDER CARD:

Hello there! Happy Saturday to you. I have another Halloween card to share with you today. I've got to get as much use out of this happy Jack as I can-he's just to cute not to! I love the fun File Folder cards I've been seeing around and thought I needed to make one. It's super easy to make using the new Envelope Punch Board-I think that's what it's called. I goofed in an earlier post saying that it makes 26 different sized envelopes. I lied...it makes 66! But I didn't use it for an envie with this card, just the fun tabs at the top. I started with a Pumpkin Pie card base, but turned the open end facing up. I adhered a strip of Witches Brew DSP to the top and lined the cardstock flush with the right side of the punch board and punched. I then moved the left edge of the cardstock to the 3" line and punched again. I used the new Paper Trimmer to trim a bit off, stopping when I hit the tab.

Again, I adhered a strip of DSP to the inside upper edge. I used Season of Style DSP and then flipped the card over and repeated the same process as for the front of the card. Make sense?

I then decorated the front of the card with Polka Dot Parade DSP and added a decorative border using the Big Shot and Adorning Accents Edgelits in Whisper White. I added a strip of Basic Grey Stitched Ribbon over the top. I stamped the gang in Pumpkin Pie, wiped off the stems with a baby wipe, and colored the stems in with an Old Olive Marker, and stamped the image onto Whisper White Cardstock. I cut it out with the Ovals Collection Framelits and added a cute little Old Olive Ribbon Clip-not sure of the name-I left my catalog upstairs and I don't feel like crawling up to get it:) I finished it off with a bit of Basic Black Chevron Ribbon and a Brights Button with White Baker's Twine through the center.

It's a little rough around the edges, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it when I make more; which I definitely will! You should give it a try too! Thanks so much for stopping by:)

A FITTING OCCASION CARD:

Hello there! I have another fun Halloween card to share with you. I made this with the set A Fitting Occasion-a set I really like but have hardly used for some reason? I started with a Rich Razzleberry base and added a layer on top which was run through the Big Shot using the Woodgrain Embossing Folder. I cut the circle out of Silver Glimmer Paper using the Circles Collections Framelit Dies. I stamped the sentiment in Rich Razzleberry onto Very Vanilla Cardstock using the set Halloween Hello, punched it out with the Small Oval Punch and added a Cute Clips around it.
I stamped the frame image onto Basic Black Cardstock using Whisper White Craft ink, heat embossed it with White Embossing Powder, and punched it out with the Curly Label Punch. I did the same process onto Pumpkin Pie Cardstock using the label image. I stamped & embossed 2 labels, punched them out with the Modern Label Punch and layered them on top of each other to have them extend further out behind the frame. I stamped the text around the owl in Pumpkin Pie and punched it out with a 1" Circle Punch. I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to center the cute little owl in Basic Black in the center. I stamped the hat in Rich Razzleberry, cut it out and added some Rhinsetone Jewels. I used the Owl Builder Punch punch out the detail at the top of the hat so I didn't have to try to cut it out. I glued it to the back of the hat with Mono Liquid Glue. I used Dimensionals between all the layers on the Glimmer Paper.

I finished off the card with a few strips of the Witches Brew Washi Tape in the corner-so quick and easy and packs a punch! I've got a couple of other Halloween treats up my sleeve, so make sure to check back!

PERFECTLY YOU CARD:

Hello there! I wanted to pop in here quick and share another Halloween card with you. We've been busy setting up for the Operation Christmas Child Packing Party tonight, but thought I'd share a card with you while Q is taking a nap. This was made with the fun Hostess set Perfectly You. This is my favorite image from the set, so I figured I needed to get busy before Halloween was over. I started with a Basic Grey Cpre'dinations base and sanded it a bit. Next, I cut out several patterns from the Witches Brew DSP using the Hexagon Punch.

I stamped the pumpkin image in Basic Black onto Very Vanilla Cardstock and punched it out. I then stamped it again onto Pumpkin Pie Cardstock, cut out the pumpkin and attached it with a Dimensional. Starting at the bottom, I added a strip of Witches Brew DSP and added a Pumpkin Pie scallop border made with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch. I then added a piece of Summer Statfruit Stitched Ribbon on top.

I attached the pumpkin image with a Dimensional right along the ribbon to align it straight. I cut 3 of the hexagons in half, and aligned the ones next to the pumpkin along the ribbon. I then worked my way up and across centering the hexagons as best as I could. I finished it off with a bow under the pumpkin and roughed up the paper a bit. This was a fun and super easy card to put together~I know...why couldn't I have thought of this for Card Night?

Make sure you head over to the SU! site and check out the 25 25% off stamp sets! There's also some Deals of the Week you won't want to miss out on. See them at: www.stampinup.com. Well back to work on the Packing Party. Hope to see some of you tonight:) Thanks so much for stopping by!

NOVEMBER CARD NIGHT SNEAK PEEKS:

Hello there! So sorry to have been gone for so long, but I've been without a computer all week! We took Gabe & Q to the Pumpkin Patch a few weeks ago and there were lots of animals. Quinten got to see some horses and pet them, and has been obsessed with them ever since. While I was babysitting him one night, we decided to go online and watch some horse videos-big mistake! We caught a bad bug and our computer died. Thanks to the good people at Staples and $150 later, they got us back in business. Needless to say, we're going to stay away from the horse videos!

Our next Card Night is Friday, November 1st and I wanted to give you a little peek at what we'll be making:) Our first Card Night last month was a huge success! We made 24 cards that got donated to the church for their Card Ministry, and we had lots of fun getting together again to stamp!

WONDERFALL CARD:

Hello there! My dear father-in-law's 82nd birthday was last week and this is the card that I made for him. I apologize for the lighting-not the best. I've been seeing so many cool cards made with Wonderfall and the coordinating Autumn Accents Die, that I finally broke down and got them. I started with a Very Vanilla base and added the Soho Subway DSP. I cut the leaves and acorn out with the Big Shot and die first. Then, I stamped the leaves in Summer Starfruit, Early Espresso and Island Indigo using the Stamp-a-ma-jig for perfect aligment. For the acorn I used Early Espresso and Crisp Cantaloupe ink.

For a little texture, I added some staples to each of the leaves, folded them and sponged them with Early Espresso ink. I then added a piece of Burlap Ribbon that I cinched in the center with Linen Thread. I tucked the acorn under the thread and added a Naturals Button on top. The sentiment is from Remembering Your Birthday and stamped in Early Espresso.

Well I'm off to wrap some Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes for the packing party coming up. If you happen to have any empty shoeboxes laying around, please let me know and we can put them to good use! I'm working on getting some wedding pictures ready to share-stay tuned...Thanks so much for stopping by!

PAPILLION POTPOURRI CARD:

Hello there! Here's the last of the cards for this month's Card Night. I took advantage of the promotion SU! had in September and got the stamp set Papillion Potpourri and the Elegant Butterfly Punch. I also got the Bitty Butterfly Punch to use for this card as well. I started with a Very Vanilla base and added a layer of Vellum Cardstock on top that was stamped with En Francais in Crumb Cake.

On a strip of Very Vanilla, I punched out the butterflies with the Elegant Punch. I started in the center and went up as far as the punch would go, and then repeated both sides. I cut squares of Afternoon Picnic and attached them to the back with Dimensionals. Oops...before I did that, I stamped the sentiment from Loving Thoughts in Crumb Cake and added a border of Crochet Trim underneath.

Finally, I stamped the butterfly images in Vellum Cardstock using Wisteria Wonder, Crushed Curry and Coastal Cabana ink and punched then out with the Bitty Butterfly Punch. I added a little Vellum flower to each using the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and a Basic Pearl to the center.

I thought the card turned out quite lovely and would be perfect for many occasions.

I wanted to share a few pics of Quinten enjoying these beautiful days we've been having...

Loving the leaves in the neighbor's yard.

Ahhh...what it would be like to be 2 again!

:)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

TAGS FOR YOU CARD:

Hello there! I have another card to share with you from Card Night. I got the inspiration from our Stampin' Success magazine, but added a few things-what's new? I used the sets Tags For You and Truly Grateful. I started with a Whisper White base and added a piece of the gorgeous Gold Foil Sheets. I tucked a scallop edge underneath using the Scallop Edge Border Punch.

Next, I stamped the background image in Versamark and embossed it with Gold Embossing Powder. I used the Distessing Tool on the edges of the Whisper White and Gold pieces. I then added a piece of Pumpkin Pie and flagged the ends. On top of that I added a strip of Sweather Weather DSP trimming it into an arrow. I wrapped a piece of Early Espresso Baker's Twine around it and tied a bow. I stamped the sentiment in Crushed Curry and punched it out with the Label Bracket Punch. When you purchase the stamp set and punch together, you save 15%! I added the tag on top of the baker's twine with Dimensionals.

I finished the card off with a spritzing of Chocolate Chip splatter. I added some reinker into an AquaPainter filled halfway with water, shook well and tapped it on my finger to get the desired effect. If you try this, be careful or you'll get little Chocolate Chip dots everywhere! Thanks so much for stopping by! Make sure to swing by again tomorrow for our last Card Night card for the month.

CYCLE CELEBRATION CARD:

Hello there! Here's another card we made at Card Night. I cased the tag from the annual catalog and mounted it onto a Crumb Cake base that I ran through the Big Shot using the Chevron Embossing Folder. I sanded the cardstock a bit to give it a little more definition.

For the tag, I ran a piece of Birthday Basics DSP through the Big Shot using the Chalk Talk Framelits, along with the Magnetic Platform, which was a big hit with everyone! I tied a piece of Summer Starfruit Stitched Ribbon through the opening. I stamped the frame in Bermuda Bay and punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch. I then stamped the image in Raspberry Ripple and punched it out with the Large Oval Punch. I attached all these layers on top of each other with Dimensionals. I colored just the 'sweet' with an Old Olive Marker and stamped it onto a skinny banner using the Stamp-a-ma-jig. I used the hearts from the Owl Builder Punch and glued them to the banner. Finally, I attached the tag to the card front with Dimensionals.

This was a pretty quick and easy card to put together and love that it would work for anyone. Thanks so much for stopping by. I'll be back tomorrow with another card to share:)

HALLOWEEN HAPPINESS CARD:

Hello there! Sorry it's been so long since my last post. My foot is not cooperating STILL and now I can't put any weight on it whatsoever, so it takes forever to get anything done. I have to crawl up and down the stairs, dragging my crutches with me-a pretty sight, as you can imagine! I do have a little scooter thing that I can use downstairs though, and I got around pretty good at our first Card Night a couple of days ago. This is one of the 4 cards we made. I used the super adorable single stamp Halloween Happiness.

I started with a Basic Black base that I scored a little wider at the top to accomodate for a treat inside. I stamped the fun little quartet in Pumpkin Pie, and then used a baby wipe to take the ink off of the tops. I colored the stems with an Old Olive Marker and stamped onto Whisper White. I then punched out the face with the 3/4" Circle Punch.

Next, I added a piece of Pumpkin Pie Chevron Ribbon around a piece of Witches Brew DSP. I added a couple of flags using other patterns in the pack and a Glimmer Brad, and tucked them under the ribbon. I then added a Caramel Apple Sucker to the inside with Glue Dots. I then closed the card, added a Glue Dot to the back of the face and attached the face to the sucker centering it inside the pumpkin.

I meant to get a picture of the inside, and would do it now, if it didn't mean having to crawl upstairs and back down with the card, camera and crutches. I hope you get the idea of what I did. I also used the fun little Chalk Marker for some gushy grandma stuff on the inside...which you probably wouldn't want to read anyway:) Make sure to check back over the next few days to see the other cards we made. It was great seeing everybody again and stamping together. If you missed this month, I hope you'll be able to join us on Friday, November 1st for the next one. Thanks so much for stopping by! And stay warm...brrr.
